Club Soda and Salt

No more stains

Third time’s a charm

As you can see, things have changed a bit around here. While the changes may seem cosmetic, they are not. I’ve moved the blog over to wordpress.com, rather than having it independently hosted. Why? Well, you see, formerly, this blog was part of the seldo.com empire. Laurie helped me way more than can reasonably be expected, but the problem is that his website has tons of pagerank, and so attracts tons of ne’er do wells. CSAS also fell victim to these attacks and broke a lot. You may have noticed the lack of comment ability, and the loss of permalinks on the old blog.

Laurie, in the meantime, turned down my offer of an unpaid position in Ed’s Tech Support Department, deciding that furthering his career at Yahoo! might be a tad more fruitful (selfish bitch). The upshot of which is that I’ve moved over to being a fully wordpress hosted blog, where they apparently pay their tech support. I’m hoping that this will result in less breakage for me, less of my nagging for Laurie, and more snarky commentary for you guys. Win-win-win, as we say in the biz (I am in the business of annoying people).

In all seriousness, I want to thank Laurie one last time for all his work and help on this. The guy really did it out of the goodness of his heart, and while it’s not like I’ve accomplished much here as a result, that’s my fault. I really, really appreciate his efforts. (I have to say this, you see, because I need his help getting my old posts moved over here. Once that’s done, I’ll let you know what I really think.)

Onward!
